Odd Bird, Fat Cat, Funny Bunny, and Dog Breath are playful, abstract sculptural compositions. I began each sculpture by joining two pieces of cut, hammered, and bent aluminum in an interesting configuration.  I stepped back, looked at the arrangement to see what imagery it might suggest, then added more pieces to develop that image (while still leaving some ambiguity).  Most of my work is larger and more pre-planned, so this approach pushed me to see and think about my process in a different way.
